When his product service company was acquired by a major global brand, the President was challenged by the need to evolve his leadership mindset from an independent business owner to a corporate leader in a fully integrated business unit. This involved overcoming his own resistance to change in order to lead his company through the integration into the larger entity, which included a branding change and adapting to new business expectations. The 12-month coaching engagement was designed to help him increase his self-awareness, redefine his leadership style, understand his new remit, and deepen relationships with his Manager and other corporate leaders for continued growth. During this process, feedback from key stakeholders and self-assessment instruments was essential in enabling the Coachee to explore and adjust his leadership style. This resulted in his ability to maintain the essence of his company’s culture while also developing a larger strategic and leadership presence within the parent organization.
